Elaiwa Blouse

Elaiwa Blouse is an airy and slightly oversized blouse, that is reversible. It has a high boat neckline on one side, and a rounder, deeper neckline on the other side. Because of this, there are no front or back side to the blouse.

Introduction to the pattern 
The blouse is knit top down. First, front piece 1 is knit. Then stitches for the shoulders (front piece 2) are picked up. The two front pieces are then gathered under the arm holes, and the body is knit in the round. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knit. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, and the neckline is finished off with an i-cord edge.

Size guide
Elaiwa Blouse is designed to have a positive ease for approximately 14-19 cm [5.5-7.5 inches] for size 1-3 and 12-22 cm [4.7-8.7 inches] for size 4-6. Size 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) corresponds to a bust circumference measuring 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) cm [33.5-35.5 (35.5- 37.5) 37.5-39.5 (39.5-43.5) 43.5-47 (47-51) inches]. Measure yourself around the bust, or wherever you are the widest on your upper body, to determine which size you will knit.

Bust circumference: 104 (109) 114 (122) 132 (142) cm [41 (43) 45 (48) 52 (56) inches].
Length: 48 (49) 50 (52) 53 (55) cm [18.8 (19.3) 20 (20.5) 20.9 (21.5) inches].

Gauge
14 stitches x 21 rows in stockinette stitch on 6 mm [US 10] needles = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] after wash and blocking.

Recommended needles
Circular needle 6 mm [US 10], 100 cm [39 inches]

Materials
350 (350) 350 (400) 450 (450) g Pura Lana by Gepard Garn (50 g = 115 m), knit single stranded or 350 (350) 350 (400) 450 (450) g CottonWool3 by Gepard Garn (50 g = 230 m), knit double stranded.

The blouse is designed to be slightly cropped. If you want it to be longer, I recommend buying 1-2 extra skeins.

Note: if you knit with two different colors in CottonWool 3, you will need 400 (400) 400 (400) 500 (500) g in total.

The olive-melange blouse is knit in Tynn Line [1015] by Sandnes Garn held together with Esther by Permin [883405], and the dark grey blouse is knit in Pura Lana [580] by Gepard Garn.
